Detailed guide

1

Start with wallet

The wallet controls which holdings appear. Choose it first.

2

Fill the sell side

Select current holding, quantity, price, charges, and taxes if supported.

3

Fill the buy side

Select target asset, expected price, amount, and charges if supported.

4

Read warnings

Check insufficient quantity, stale price, missing charges, and broker-estimate mismatch.

5

Record actual trades separately

The calculator should not place orders or record trades unless the app explicitly asks you to save/confirm.

Before you finish, check this

  • Sell quantity does not exceed holding.
  • Prices are current enough.
  • Charges/taxes are considered.
  • Sell/buy assets are not reversed.
  • Result is understood as decision support.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating calculator result as a placed order.
  • Using wrong wallet.
  • Comparing without fees/taxes.
  • Entering buy and sell assets reversed.
