Detailed guide

1

Use business mode only when needed

Create a company when records, roles, reimbursements, billing, or accountant access need shared context.

2

Invite carefully

Use correct email and match role to responsibility: owner, manager, approver, payer, accountant, viewer, or staff where supported.

3

Switch context before editing

Active company affects entries, reimbursements, billing, reports, members, and accountant visibility.

4

Remove access when needed

Review members periodically and revoke/remove access when no longer required.

Before you finish, check this

  • Active company name is visible.
  • Role matches responsibility.
  • Invite email is correct.
  • Personal/company data remains separate.
  • Removed members lose access.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Editing business data while personal workspace is active.
  • Giving owner/admin role unnecessarily.
  • Using company mode without reimbursement roles.
